Warner Brothers, one of the key leaders in film production, wanted to promote its Chinese-character based movie, Crazy Rich Asians, amongst the Chinese audience in the UK. Comms8 was tasked to raise awareness for the film through Chinese-based media vehicles.

STRATEGY

Partnership with key video platforms: Focused on the audience on video streaming platforms, we collaborated with leading sites including Youku & iQiYi to show the video ad targeting UK-based Chinese audience.

Extensive display network: Targeted popular sites browsed by UK-based Chinese, we raised audience’s awareness through static display banners, and leveraged the extensive network of media partners including Baidu, AdView and DAKS to expand the audience reach.

RESULT

Comms8 successfully launched the campaign within 7 days upon the plan approval, and eventually delivered over 1.6 million impressions, exceeding the target by 37%.

We also delivered a high click-through rate (CTR) of 0.85%, outperformed the industry standard of 0.05%.
