WACL Welcomes Carol Chan to Executive Committee

We’re proud to announce that our Founder and Managing Director of Comms8 and InfluenConnect™, Carol Chan, has joined the Executive Committee of WACL – an inspiring milestone that celebrates leadership, community, and the pursuit of gender equality in our industry.

Since its founding in 1923, WACL has stood as a powerful force for change, championing women in leadership and supporting progressive voices across the advertising and communications landscape. With a membership of nearly 300 senior women, including household names and visionary pioneers, WACL continues to drive forward conversations and actions that matter.

This year, WACL’s mission is further strengthened by the #ChangeTheStats campaign — a bold, evidence-based call to build more gender-balanced workplaces. From rethinking leadership to supporting women’s health and inclusive work practices, it reflects WACL’s deep commitment to driving lasting, inclusive change across the industry.

As a newly appointed member of the Executive Committee, Carol will work alongside a distinguished team of leaders, chaired by Claire Sadler, to help shape WACL’s ongoing programmes, member experience and engagement, and campaigns. From promoting flexible working and tackling the gender pay gap to mentoring the next generation of talent, the committee plays a vital role in delivering WACL’s mission of accelerating gender equality across the industry.

This is a deeply meaningful appointment for Carol, whose work at Comms8 and InfluenConnect™ has always been rooted in breaking barriers and building bridges between cultures. Her involvement with WACL is a natural extension of that purpose, and we’re excited to see how her voice contributes to an organisation as impactful and historic as WACL.
